Benefits


I did some research into laughter ... It is amazing what it can do for you. The medical benifits are incredible! Not only that but it is free and plentiful in the right company! I thought I would share a bit with you.

Did you know that laughter Activates and boosts the immune system? You get sick less often and you fight off things faster.

It also Decreases the Stress Hormones ... These are epinephrine, cortisol, and dopac. They actually drops with laughter! These are your fight or flight hormones.

Muscle Relaxation ....While you laugh, the muscles that do not participate in the belly laugh, relax. After you finish laughing those muscles involved in the laughter start to relax.

Pain Reduction ... You are so busy laughing you forget about the little aches and pains.

Cardiac Exercise ...A belly laugh is equivalent to "an internal jogging."

Blood Pressure ... There are studies that suggest that laughing lowers the hypertension.

Respiration ... Frequent belly laughter empties your lungs of more air than it takes in resulting in a cleansing effect - similar to deep breathing.

All of this is great news, as I seem to be getting healthier by the minute these days... But really, what I know is that for me personally laughter is good for my soul.
